Mangoes aren't just delicious, they are full of nutrients. Mango has the power to give you more energy and help you lose weight by improving your digestion. As we mature, our bodies digestion can slow down. (If you feel full after eating a little, see your doctor as this could be a medical condition). As we age, we just can't get away with eating what we did in our 20's and 30's expecting to feel good so it's important to give attention to what we put in our bodies. If you don't have time, this shake only takes a couple minutes.
NUTRIENTS IN MANGO'S
Mango's are rich in fiber, pectin and vitamin C, which helps in lowering serum cholesterol levels, specifically Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL) also know as bad cholesterol for the body which helps your heart. High levels of vitamin C and vitamin A in mangoes keep the immune system healthy and boosts your energy levels. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient that helps in maintaining blood sugar level which is important for diabetes.
NUTRIENTS IN BANANAS
I used to make banana smoothies until one day I paired the banana with mango and it was amazing! I have been adding mangos in my daily breakfast shake to keep me on track and get my daily dose of vitamin C. Paired with a banana, this smoothie gives you energy and helps you lose weight. One banana provides about 20% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin B-6, vitamin C and over 10% of your daily potassium. It keeps you full so you won't find yourself snacking on fattening foods. Potassium helps protect against loss of muscle mass which happens as we age. Less muscle means a slower metabolism so it's important to do what you can to keep your body strong.
